⽇本アイ・ビー・エム株式会社（以下、⽇本 IBM）は、「IBM地域DXセンター」*の国内 8 カ所⽬となる拠点として新たに千葉県千葉市美浜区に「IBM幕張DX センター」を開設し、統合基幹業務システム（ERP)の運⽤保守を⼿がけるアプリケーション・マネジメント・サービス（AMS)に特化したサービスを、IBM フィリピン・クライアント・イノベーション・センター（フィリピン CIC)で⽇本のお客様向けサービスを提供する「ジャパン・イノベーション・ハブ」との連携のもと、本⽇より提供開始することを発表しました。

昨今、既存 IT システムの⽼朽化や複雑化、システム保守・運⽤コストの増⼤、IT ⼈材不⾜などの課題を解決するために、レガシー・システムのモダナイゼーションを検討する企業が増えています。ERP においては、オンプレミス上の ERP システムをクラウド型アプリケーションに移⾏・変⾰するモダナイゼーションのニーズが⾼まっていますが、複雑化した基幹システムの移⾏は容易ではありません。

そこで、⽇本 IBMは、ERPモダナイゼーションへの⾼いニーズに対応すべく、ERP AMS に特化した拠点として IBM幕張DXセンターを開設するとともに、フィリピン CIC と連携し、ERP AMS サービスの提供を開始します。フィリピン CIC では、グローバルの最新技術をタイムリーに習得し、欧⽶向け基幹系パッケージの導⼊実績や業界固有のスキルなど⾼い技術⼒を備えた⼈材が、⾼度なセキュリティー環境で開発を進めています。さらに、⽇本向けのサービスに特化したジャパン・イノベーション・ハブには、お客様の業務や技術に関する専⾨的な議論にも対応できる⾼度な⽇本語能⼒を有するプロジェクト・マネージャーが在籍しています。

IBM幕張DX センターは、フィリピン CIC の⾼い技術⼒と⽇本 IBM の 20 数年にわたる SAP やオラクルなどの ERP システムの構築と運⽤保守、モダナイゼーションの実績や複雑なシステム構築・運⽤などの⻑年の経験を組み合わせ、⽇本とフィリピンの ERP エンジニアが共同で⽇本のお客様の ERP モダナイゼーションの実現を⽀援します。具体的には、SAP S/4HANA® への移⾏や調達・購買の SAP Ariba®、⼈事・⼈材管理の SAP SuccessFactors® の開発と保守、財務会計や経営管理などのOracle Fusion Cloud ERP、サプライチェーンおよび製造管理のOracle Fusion Cloud SCM、人材管理のOracle Fusion Cloud HCMを活⽤したモダナイゼーションなどのプロジェクトを⽀援します。

IBM地域DXセンターは、主に開発を⾼度化した開発DX およびビジネス・プロセス・アウトソーシング（BPO）を最新技術を⽤いて⾼度化する BPO DX の拠点として、全国 8 か所に展開しています。今後は、各拠点の強みを活かしながらさらなるサービス機能の拡充を進めるとともに、グローバル拠点との連携を強化し、⽇本のお客様のデジタル変⾰を⽀援していきます。

‘IBM Makuhari DX Center’ specializing in ERP AMS started providing services in collaboration with the innovation centers in the Philippines

IBM Japan, Ltd. (‘IBM Japan’) has announced it has opened the ‘IBM Makuhari Digital Transformation (DX) Center’ in Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, as the eighth location of the IBM Regional DX Centers* in Japan. The new center will provide Application Management Services (AMS), which specializes in the operation and maintenance of integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Starting today, the center will provide service in collaboration with the Japan Innovation Hub, which provides services to Japanese customers at the IBM Philippines Client Innovation Center (Philippines CIC).

Recently, more companies are considering the modernization of their legacy systems to address challenges such as aging and the complexity of existing IT systems, increasing system maintenance and operation costs, and shortages of IT human resources. In the context of ERP, there is a growing need for modernization to migrate and transform on-premises ERP systems to cloud-based applications, but migrating increasingly complex core systems is not easy.

To address the high demands for ERP modernization, IBM Japan has established the IBM Makuhari DX Center as a base specializing in ERP AMS and has started providing ERP AMS services in collaboration with the Philippines CIC. At the Philippine CIC, development is conducted in a highly secure environment by engineers who have acquired the latest global technologies in a timely manner and possess high technical capabilities, including a track record of implementing mission-critical packages for Europe and the United States and industry-specific skills. In addition, the Japan Innovation Hub, which specializes in services for the Japanese Market, is staffed with project managers with advanced Japanese language skills who can respond to needs of specialized discussions on client business and technology.

IBM Makuhari DX Center combines the advanced technical capabilities of the Philippines CIC with IBM Japan's over 20 years of experience in building and maintaining ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, as well as modernization and complex system development and operation. Engineers from Japan and the Philippines will jointly support the realization of ERP modernization for Japanese clients. Specifically, it supports projects such as migration to SAP S/4HANA, development and maintenance of SAP Ariba for procurement and purchasing, and SAP SuccessFactors for human resource management. In addition, it supports modernization projects that leverage Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP for financial accounting and business management, Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM for supply chain and manufacturing management, and Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM for human capital management.

IBM Regional DX Centers are located in eight locations across Japan, primarily servicing as hubs for advanced development, and the enhancement of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), using the latest technology. Moving forward, IBM Japan will further expand its service capabilities by leveraging the strengths of each center and strengthening collaboration with its global centers to support the digital transformation of Japanese customers.

*IBM Regional DX Centers have been established in Sapporo-city, Hokkaido Prefecture; Naha-city, Okinawa Prefecture; Sendai-city, Miyagi Prefecture; and Kitakyushu-city, Fukuoka Prefecture in January 202. In 2023, the network expanded to Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture; Takamatsu-city, Kagawa Prefecture; and Nagano-city, Nagano Prefecture. In August 2024, IBM Makuhari DX Center was established in Chiba-city, Chiba Prefecture.
